Time Blocking

I listened to a podcast this week by Russell Brunson and he was talking about how he blocks time and it was just a great reminder.
Blocking time on your calendar for those that are most important to you (spouse, kids, significant others, etc) should always come first. This is what Russell calls his sacred time.
Often times I have a bad habit of waking up and immediately going into work mode. Blocking the early mornings for time in Scripture, prayer and journaling is a must, but blocking time that I will intentionally spend with my two boys has to be done as well.
This is time I’m going to spend helping get the kids ready in the morning, reading and praying with them at night, or just having fun and taking them to the park.
I also look at my Five Foundations (Faith, Family, Finances, Fitness and Focus) and block out time on the calendar to accomplish my daily steps that will help get me closer to those goals.
This is just one way that I can organize my day to help me grow in my faith and accomplish my goals.
Hope this helps and feel free to reach out on any questions or advice you have for blocking time!
