4 Ways to Begin 2021 Fresh

Can I get a YES!!! that 2020 is over and done with? Who could have imagined a year ago what kind of year it turned out to be? Only God knows what is in store for us in the new year but there are several things we can do to be tuned up and ready to move through it with Him.

  1. TURN LOOSE of your plans if they conflict with God’s plans. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. He loves to endorse your plans as long as they begin with Him.
  2. FORGIVE SOMEONE who has wronged you. Mark 11:25-26 [Jesus speaking] When you are praying, if you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins. But if you don’t forgive other people, then your Father in heaven will not forgive your sins. Carrying a grudge around isn’t hurting the other person; it’s only damaging you. Let it go.
  3. COMMIT AFRESH to loving and spending time with your family. Ephesians 5:33-6:2 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Children obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. Your first responsibility as a follower of Christ is to love and take care of your family.
  4. CONSISTENTLY SPEND TIME praying and studying God’s Word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God’s approval. They equip God’s servants so that they are completely prepared to do good things. This is how you know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

It is a certainty that there will be “surprises” in 2021 (hopefully not like 2020 but you never know). It is also a certainty that God’s desire for you is to become more like Him in how you think, act, and relate to others. He loves you with an everlasting love that knows no limits and your success is paramount to Him.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
